Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy that focuses on the whole body—not just the area of pain. It is based on the principle that the body’s structure and function are closely related, and that the body has an innate ability to heal itself when in proper alignment.
Osteopathic treatment involves hands-on techniques to assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of conditions related to the muscles, joints, spine, and nervous system. It may also support organ function and circulation.
